Road running shoes are our ultimate running companion. They’re what connects us to the ground. Our emotions are impacted by how they feel under our feet. If we’re being honest, we couldn’t run without them. At Run4It, we believe running is all about the experience. For this reason, we split our men’s and women’s road running shoes into three experience categories: The Float Experience, The Connected Experience and The Enhanced Energy Experience. We all run in a unique way and like our running shoes to feel a certain way. Furthermore, we may need different running shoes for specific runs. For example, running shoes that are best suited to recovery runs aren’t necessarily the optimal choice for faster interval runs. You can choose how you want your running shoes to feel from our experience categories and what purpose you’re using them for: running far, fast, slow, training or racing. Whether you’re looking for soft running shoes that make you feel like you’re floating along, firm running shoes that propel you forward, bouncy running shoes that feel like springs or carbon fibre plated running shoes that improve your running economy and performance - you’ll find a model to match your needs. Running brands all have unique cushioning technologies that make them distinctive. This ranges from the luxurious feeling of Brooks DNA cushioning, the soft and protective feeling of ASICS Gel, the marshmallow-like HOKA foam, the springy On CloudTec to the ultra bouncy Nike ZoomX superfoam. Our experience categories should help you decide which type of cushioning is best for you. We also categorise road running shoes by the level of support on offer: neutral or stability. Having the right level of support in your road running shoes has a significant impact on comfort and injury prevention. We have years of experience when it comes to matching the right running shoes to runners. We know that the right support level matters and could make the difference between a happy and unhappy runner. You can also choose how you’d like your road running shoes to fit. While running shoes are made in a variety of shapes and lasts, we stock a range of wide fitting running shoes for runners with broader feet, or who prefer a roomier toe-box. This includes wide fitting options from Brooks and HOKA, such as the Brooks Ghost wide-fit, Brooks Adrenaline GTS wide-fit and HOKA Clifton wide-fit. A wide-fitting running shoe is normally the best option for bunions or Morton’s neuromas. The running shoe product information here on run4it.com, should help you make an informed decision with regards to what’s best for you. If you’ve already got a pair of running shoes that you like, you should be able to see what’s similar or what’s changed in the new version. If you’re able to visit one of our Run4It shops, we’ll be more than happy to help you find the right running shoes with our free +runlab service.
