Underfoot Feel
The unique midsole in the adidas Adistar BYD Running Shoes should feel highly-cushioned, supportive, and propulsive.
LIGHTSTRIKE PRO - adidas' most resilient foam - makes up the main body of the midsole. This offers a soft and energetic feel.
A slightly firmer, but cushioned material - named REPETITOR 2.0 - makes up the bottom of the midsole. This increases the inherent stability of the high-stacked midsole.
You should experience lots of propulsion as you transition through the gait cycle. This is down to the carbon-injected DISTANCEDRIVE plate.
As the plate only runs around the perimeter of the cushioning, the midsole shouldn't feel as stiff as a full-carbon-fibre plated midsole. It's worth noting the DISTANCEDRIVE plate also increases the stability of the midsole.
Upper Fit
The adidas Adistar BYD Running Shoes feature a premium monomesh upper.
An internal fit system and supportive heel counter should deliver a secure and comfortable fit.
Ideal Run Type
You'll probably get the most benefit from the adidas Men's Adistar BYD Running Shoes when you're heading out for long steady runs. This is because the midsole should aid your running economy and offer extra help as you fatigue.

Sizing Advice

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
