The popular Mizuno Wave Inspire running shoes have reached a significant milestone with the release of the 20th edition. Fans of the previous model are likely to be pleased that there are minimal changes to the Mizuno Wave Inspire 20 stability running shoes. In fact, the midsole construction is effectively the same as the 19th edition. For those who haven’t experienced what these have to offer, Mizuno Enerzy cushioning should deliver a protective, yet propulsive underfoot experience. This sensation of energy return is further enhanced by Mizuno’s signature Wave Plate. A structure that also doubles up as a support system. To explain further, the anatomical Plate helps stop the foot arch from collapsing and offers additional support for greater ranges of pronation. An updated jacquard Air Mesh upper offers lots of breathability, and is likely to feel soft and comfortable. From a fit perspective, they should feel spacious in the toe box and secure around the ankle area. At Run4It, our opinion is that the Mizuno Wave Inspire 20 stability running shoes are well suited to runs over a range of paces. This is because the energetic midsole design should help runners move with greater levels of ease on slower and steadier paced runs. That means we expect they’ll perform well over long distances, and when you’re pushing the pace in some shorter brisker paced runs. If you’re looking for neutral Mizuno running shoes, we recommend checking out the Mizuno Wave Rider.
