Underfoot Feel

Two important design features significantly contribute to the feeling of responsive cushioning offered by the Wave Inspire 20. Firstly, Mizuno Enerzy Foam accounts for the majority of the midsole. This foam offers high levels of cushioning and energy return. Secondly, an anatomical plate - which follows the shape of the foot - helps to provide forward propulsion and a smooth transition through the gait cycle.

The Wave Plate in the Wave Inspire 20 is specifically designed with the aim of supporting the arches of your feet and reducing instability at the medial (inner) side of your feet and ankles. In short, the inner (medial) side of the Wave Plate is a different shape in comparison with the outer (lateral) side of the Wave Plate. This design should make these Mizuno road running shoes feel cushioned and supportive.

The Wave Inspire 20's midsole design is the same as the Wave Inspire 19.

Upper Fit

The major update to the Wave Inspire 20 is the upper. The upper has a new jacquard air mesh. The result being a comfortable upper with good breathability.

The Mizuno Men's Wave Inspire 20 Road Running Shoes are best for runs at slow to steady paces. It is worth us reiterating that these are stability running shoes; they are not neutral running shoes. They can be an ideal choice for runners seeking supportive, responsive cushioning on their low to moderate effort training runs.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
