Advice for Road Runners: The Saucony Women's Guide 17 Running Shoes have a number of very exciting updates. Exciting because they are completely aligned with the goal of delivering improved comfort and protection for your feet.
The Saucony Guide is one of the most established styles of stability running shoes. The Guide 17 have significant updates and a lot of these result from Saucony's Center Path Technology, which includes:
The Guide 17's midsole foam is Saucony's PWRRUN foam. This material is designed to provide plush and durable cushioning. For PWRRUN foam, comfort is the priority goal above all else.
Underfoot comfort is further enhanced by the PWRRUN+ Sockliner.
The upper is designed to hold your feet securely without the chance of pressure from the laces. Aligned with the midsole design, comfort has been a driving factor behind the design philosophy.
The Saucony Women's Guide 17 Running Shoes are best for daily training runs. They are best suited to runners seeking plush cushioning and additional support.
If you are looking for faster running shoes, these are probably not the best option. Their purpose is to help you to log your steady paced training miles in more comfort.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
