Advice for Road Runner: The Saucony Men's Ride 17 in the White//Vizigold colourway now feature PWRRUN+ cushioning. This upgraded midsole material should enhance comfort and performance for daily miles.
As mentioned, the Saucony Men's Ride 17 feature a PWRRUN+ midsole. This is the key change to the Ride 16, which contained PWRRUN.
PWRRUN+ is thermoplastic polyurethane. Saucony changed the Ride 17 to this material as it offers greater levels of energy return and it's more resistant to temperature change. This resistance to temperature change improves the consistency of cushioning throughout your run.
The Saucony Ride 17 upper offers a supportive, yet spacious fit. This is down to their signature FORMFIT technology. A supportive midfoot wrap encapsulates the feet. While a breathable and broad toe box offers great comfort.
We recommend using the Saucony Men's Ride 17 for your daily miles. This is because the PWRRUN+ cushioning performs over a range of paces, including some brisker efforts. The thick stacked midsole should also feel protective over longer distances.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
