If you're looking for great cushioning, the Speedcross 6 midsole should suit you. That's because it features a thick EnergyCell+ midsole compound. This should feel protective and supportive under your feet and perform over long distances.

Upper Fit

The Salomon Speedcross 6 should feel supportive and secure. This is mainly down to Salomon's signature SensiFit design that adapts to your foot shape. To ensure all-day comfort, the upper features a Quicklace system. This design reduces unwanted pressure points and stops the laces coming undone.

As it's likely you'll be testing the Speedcross out on tough terrain, the upper is very durable. An abrasion-resistant ripstop fabric copes well with harsh terrain and reduces the chances of debris entering the shoes. 

Ideal Run Type

Given how grippy the Salomon Women's Speedcross 6 outsole is, we recommend using these for technical trail runs. To explain further, we mean running up and down steep slopes, over muddy ground or very rocky terrain. 

Yes, you can wear the Speedcross 6 on hard packed surfaces. However, this may wear down the deep lugs at a faster rate. 

We also suggest opting for the Salomon Speedcross on longer trail adventures. This level of cushioning is designed to help you run further in more comfort. 

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
