Advice for Road Runners: Inspired by Nike's pinnacle Road Racing Shoes, the Nike Men's Zoom Fly 5 Running Shoes are great options for faster-paced training miles.
The Nike Zoom Fly 5 cushioning should feel both protective and propulsive. This is because the midsole features ZoomX foam and a full-length articulated carbon fibre plate.
While ZoomX foam helps soften the impact of landing, the plate should create a responsive sensation that improves energy return across a wide range of intensities.
As the soft Nike ZoomX foam is housed in a carrier foam, durability is improved. It's one of the reasons these are such good training shoes.
You should find the Zoom Fly 5 midsole feels very stable. Even though they're neutral running shoes, a broad heel and forefoot design is inherently stable.
The lightweight mesh on the upper of the Nike Zoom Fly 5 should feel breathable and comfortable. There's also a supportive midfoot wrap to ensure you feel the right level of hold where it's needed.
You're looking for some extra help when you want to run fast, but you want to keep your race day running shoes fresh. This is when the Nike Men's Zoom Fly 5 are a great choice. These plated running shoes bridge the gap between daily-mileage models and all-out race day options.
We recommend using them for tempo runs, intervals, and longer race-pace sessions. However, if your legs are feeling particularly tired, you might find these very helpful on some slower to steady paced runs.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
