The midsole offers great versatility, and should feel comfortable across a range of paces.
Underfoot Feel
The New Balance Rebel V4 Running Shoes feature a FuelCell foam. This PEBA/EVA foam blend should feel light, bouncy, and protective underfoot. This is why the Rebel V4 midsole should perform well at different speeds.
As the geometric midsole is relatively broad, it should feel inherently stable.
Upper Fit
It's not possible to achieve an ultra-light feel without a lightweight upper. The New Balance FuelCell V4 Running Shoes come with a streamlined mesh upper.
As a lot of the upper features bonded seams, the chances of irritation should be reduced.
You might want to consider choosing half a size bigger than your normal running shoe size, as the Rebel Running Shoes fit slightly short.
Ideal Run Type
The energetic midsole in the New Balance Women's FuelCell Rebel V4 Running Shoes is a great choice for faster-paced runs, when you don't want to wear a plated model. We recommend the Rebel for tempo efforts and focused steady runs.
The protective nature of the midsole means the Rebel V4 Running Shoes may also feel comfortable for your slower paced runs - especially if your legs feel relatively good. However, the cushioning is likely to feel better when you're running faster.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
