Advice for Road Runners: The Mizuno Women's Wave Equate 8 Stability Running Shoes feature an updated upper. If you enjoyed running in the previous version, you should be able to transition into this edition with relative ease.
You should expect the Mizuno Wave Equate 8 Running Shoes to feel protective, yet responsive underfoot. This is because the Mizuno U4ic foam offers great shock absorption, but doesn't feel overly soft.
There's also a firmer Mizuno Wave Plate in the midsole which serves two purposes. Firstly, it helps improve propulsion. But most importantly, it provides added support on the medial side of the midsole. This should feel supportive under your arches and reduce greater ranges of pronation.
Even though the main sensation in the midsole will be that of support and structure, a heel wedge of Mizuno Enerzy foam should soften your landings and improve comfort.
The Mizuno Wave Equate 8 features a supportive upper design. Overlays at the back and midfoot section should support your feet.
The Mizuno Women's Wave Equate 8 Running Shoes are best for slower paced runs. This is because the midsole should feel protective and stable at this type of intensity. As the Wave Plate offers some extra responsiveness, the cushioning should respond to some steadier bouts of effort.
As these are stability running shoes, they're for runners who have unstable feet and ankles.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
