Underfoot Feel

It's difficult to articulate how propulsive the Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro feels. A lot of the propulsion stems from the uniquely shaped midsole. That's because the curve in the midsole actively rolls your feet forward and improves forward momentum. 

From a cushioning perspective, the combination of Mizuno Enerzy foams and high stack feels very protective. However, don't expect the Wave Rebellion Pro to feel overly soft. Instead, it feels highly responsive. 

This responsiveness is aided by the carbon infused plate. Additionally, the plate ensures you get the maximum benefit from the rocker geometry. Unlike competitor models, the Wave Rebellion Pro plate features a medial side wall that delivers some extra support.

Upper Fit

The Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro upper feels very light and yet supportive. We thought it would be helpful to clarify the tongue is not gusseted. This means you can tailor the fit to your foot shape. 

In our experience, the toe box fits generously and should suit broader foot shapes.

Ideal Run Type

If you're aiming to run personal bests in running events, the Mizuno Men's Wave Rebellion Pro running shoes are an amazing option. While the midsole construction suits marathon running, these also perform very well in shorter distance events. 

Even though these suit a range of paces, it's hard to run slowly in them. When we say slowly, we mean relative to your fast pace. The Wave Rebellion Pro makes you run faster.

For the avoidance of doubt, these are suitable for heel strikers. While the cut-out heel section will likely move your landing point, you shouldn't have to adjust your stride. 

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
