Underfoot Feel
The main change in the Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro 2 midsole is a top layer of MIZUNO ENERZY LITE+ foam. As a result, they should feel softer and bouncier under your feet.
There's still a bottom layer of MIZUNO ENERZY LITE foam. This soft and highly energy returning foam aids comfort and speed. However, the midfoot area is broader than before to improve stability and support.
A full-length carbon infused nylon Wave Plate, sandwiched between the foams, delivers incredible propulsion. An updated ribbed design makes the plate more responsive than before.
The SMOOTH SPEED ASSIST technology leads to lots of forward momentum with each stride. To explain further, the specific geometry rolls your feet forward and helps you maintain your speed.
From a grip perspective, the G3 outsole delivers standout traction around corners.
Upper Fit
As the Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro 2 Running Shoes are all about speed, the upper is extremely lightweight. But, Mizuno understands support is still important. Midfoot straps and an updated shoelace loop design deliver support where it's needed most.
Even though the heel counter is very light and thin, small internal heel pods hold your ankle in place.
Ideal Run Type
The Mizuno Men's Wave Rebellion Pro 2 Running Shoes are for fast-paced runs and racing. In our experience, they're unlikely to feel comfortable for runs at slower to steady paces. They're likely to feel at their best if you're running at a consistent effort and are planning to run fast for the duration of your event.
From testing, we can clarify they're suitable for heel strikers.

Sizing Advice
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
