Advice for Trail Runners: Seeking a trail shoe that offers a soft and supportive ride with extra grip? The HOKA Men's Challenger 7 Trail Running Shoes in the Honey/Black colourway are one of our top choices.
The compression moulded EVA cushioning in the HOKA Challenger 7 Trail Running Shoes should feel soft and protective. This means it offers great comfort on hard-packed surfaces, including the road.
Inspired by gravel bike tyres, the 4 mm lugged outsole optimises grip on compact ground. The tight spacing of the lugs reduces the likelihood of you becoming aware of them when you're on hard ground. However, larger and more aggressive lugs at the perimeter increase traction where it's needed most.
The engineered mesh upper of the HOKA Challenger 7 Trail Running Shoes offers a light and breathable feel.
An extended heel pull tab makes it easier to slip the shoes on and off.
The outsole and midsole construction of the HOKA Men's Challenger 7 Trail Running Shoes should feel best on hard-packed trails.
Whilst we wouldn't recommend using these exclusively for road running, they should feel very comfortable on extended sections of tarmac.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
