Advice for Road Runners: The ASICS Women's GT-2000 12 is likely to feel the most comfortable version to date. The soft, yet supportive midsole construction should feel very natural and comfortable underfoot.
The ASICS Women's GT-2000 12 doesn't feel quite as soft as ultra-plush max-cushioned alternatives. However, the FF BLAST PLUS foam still feels very cushioned and protective. There's also highly absorbent PureGEL cushioning in the heel.
One of the benefits of the balanced cushioning is that it should deliver a stable underfoot ride.
Stability is further enhanced by ASICS' 3D GUIDANCE SYSTEM. The most notable features to call out are the wide base-nets and raised side walls. This holistic support system works with your feet and ankles to reduce instability.
The ASICS GT-2000 12 upper features a jacquard mesh. As a result, the fabric should feel soft and breathable.
The distinctive 'lean back' design at the heel counter helps reduce irritation around the back of the ankle. At least 50% of the primary upper consists of recycled materials.
We recommend using the ASICS Women's GT-2000 12 Running Shoes on your lower intensity run days. The cushioning may feel responsive enough for some steadier paced runs. But, we would suggest a more propulsive option for those types of sessions.
These are also more than cushioned enough for longer distances and are definitely suitable for marathon running.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
