Advice for Road Runners: The Altra Women's Experience Flow Running Shoes offer a light and responsive underfoot feel. This Altra model has a 4 mm drop from heel-to-toe and Altra's Standard FootShape™ fit.
The compression-moulded midsole provides a lightweight and responsive sensation underneath your feet.
It is worth noting that the midsole feels reasonably firm. However, the low heel to toe drop combines with the rocker shape geometry to try and help your feet to roll forward more efficiently. In short, the midsole design should help you to move through the gait cycle with greater ease and efficiency.
The key point to highlight is the natural fit with a roomy toe box. This should let you splay your toes, and help you engage your big toe joint as you run.
The Altra Experience Flow Running Shoes feature Altra's Standard FootShape™ fit.
The Altra Women's Experience Flow Running Shoes should feel best on steady-paced runs. By this, we mean the runs that are a bit faster than your easy or recovery days.
Of course, this Altra model is suitable for slower runs too. However, the midsole might not feel as comfortable as a softer and more forgiving alternative.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
