Advice for Road Runners: Looking for supportive Altra Running Shoes? The Altra Men's Paradigm 7 Running Shoes feature GuideRail™ technology.
A thick layer of Altra EGO™ MAX foam offers a high degree of protection.
As a result of their foot shaped design, most Altra Running Shoes feel stable. However, the Altra Paradigm 7 Running Shoes offer even more support via GuideRail™ technology. The dynamic support system only helps you when it's needed, and mainly enhances stability on the medial side.
Overall, the Paradigm 7 should feel very stable underfoot. The 'Balanced Cushioning' means there's no difference in height from the heel to the forefoot.
The Altra Paradigm 7 Running Shoes feature a Standard FootShape™ Fit. This should allow your toes to relax and spread out naturally. It's likely the toe box will feel wider than typical road running shoes.
Padding around the tongue and ankle collar improves comfort.
As the Altra Men's Paradigm 7 Running Shoes are relatively soft, they should feel best for slower paced runs.
In our experience, the holistic style of support in these tends to work well for runners who experience knee discomfort.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
