Underfoot Feel

An updated LIGHTSTRIKE PRO compound feels exceptionally soft and energetic underfoot. This version is lighter and offers more energy return than any previous version of LIGHTSTRIKE PRO.

Importantly, the compound also offers better linear deformation - which improves the stability of the midsole. 

An adjusted forefoot rocker point - placed at 60% of the length of the shoe - should trigger more forward momentum and lead to better running economy. This updated rocker point geometry was the result of extensive lab testing.

adidas' carbon-infused ENERGYRODS 2.0 system helps create smooth and fast transitions from landing to take-off. As the rods can move independently of one another, the structure can feel more natural than a plate.

Finally, an updated LIGHTTRAXION outsole keeps the weight down, without any reduction in grip. A small section of Continental™ rubber at the end out of the outsole offers extra traction at toe-off.

Overall, the adidas Adizero Adios Pro 4 Running Shoes' midsole should feel very light, bouncy, and propulsive.

Upper Fit

A one-way stretch woven mesh upper offers a soft and flexible feel. This is paired with internal locking bands and an adjusted lacing system, which delivers lots of midfoot lockdown. This system is named Adizero LIGHTLOCK.

The adidas Women's Adizero Adios Pro 4 Running Shoes are perfectly suited to long distance racing. This is because the midsole construction has the potential to help you run significantly faster - and reduce your level of discomfort.

While it's likely you'll get the most benefit from the Adios Pro 4 Running Shoes in a half-marathon or marathon, this Adizero model should also help you run faster in 5K and 10K events.

Sizing Advice 

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
