Amber joined the Run4It team in June 2023 after moving to Aberdeen. She started running for her local athletics club as a kid and for the Humberside and South Yorkshire Army Cadet Force as a teen, racing cross country. After an injury, Amber had to put her running shoes aside for a while and sought solace in other outdoor pursuits. However, Amber has recently rediscovered her love for running and is excited to use trail running to explore Scotland. Outside of work, Amber can also be found hiking up mountains and climbing big rocks and is looking forward to climbing some Munros.
Rachel joined Run4It in April 2022 with the Inverness team before moving to the Aberdeen team. She has just graduated with a degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Aberdeen. Rachel has been competing in track and cross country races for over 10 years since she joined her local athletics club. She has more recently focused on road racing where she has found a love for racing longer distances from 5k up to half marathon and hopes to step up to the marathon in the future!
Nick is old. Very old. So old in fact that no one can quite remember how and when he started running. All they know is he always has! There are rumours and vague recollections that it may have been sometime between his 8th and 10th birthdays. Suffice to say he is still soldiering on. Over the years he has performed on the road and cross country to a respectable club standard and unlike a good wine has not got better with age. Fortune favours the persistent however and in recent years he has amassed 12 Scottish Championship medals, of varying hues, in the Super Vet Category. These have included the East XC Champs, Master National XC Champs, 10k Road Champs plus road and XC relays. Every year gets a little harder with a new influx of oldies but with 1 year still in this age band the opportunity is there to add one or two more.
Luke is currently studying Medicine at the University of Aberdeen. He runs with the university athletics club and combines this with road cycling. You can usually find Luke on the wattbike at ASV suffering tremendously just for the love of it.
Maisie joined Run4It in April 2023 and is currently a second year student at Robert Gordon University. She has been running since the age of 12 and found herself transitioning to triathlon soon after. And before she knew it found herself competing in the GB age group team at Ibiza multisport world championships 2023 finishing 5th in her age group.
Rebecca joined the team in May 2024 and is currently studying Sport Science at the University of Aberdeen and runs with the university athletics team. She enjoys a fast interval session on the track as well as a slow long run around the city. Having just completed her first marathon and thoroughly enjoying it she is eager to do more. Rebecca can normally be found in ASV running in circles or eating her body weight in pasta.
Keavy has just completed a Masters in Dietetics at Robert Gordon University, acting as Women’s Captain for the kickboxing team and playing with the Women’s Rugby team throughout her degree. Like many, she started running during lockdown, having practised martial arts for the previous twelve years. She started with just one lap of Duthie Park and has now recently completed her first marathon as part of EMF 2024. She most enjoys a long run on a sunny weekend and is hoping to do some more trail running in the future. She also loves food and when she is not running she can be found in the kitchen cooking up a post run snack.

We are often told that the difference between us and other shops is our people. We think they are just the best. Each team member goes through a period of induction, training and assessment no matter what the job is. Over the years we have invested a load not just in the training but also in ensuring that we are giving the team the very best possible terms and conditions we can – it’s even written down in our business values.
