Find out what's changed in latest version of Brooks' most popular stability shoe.
Read ArticleThe Brooks Adrenaline GTS is one of our most popular running shoes at Run4It. They might just be one of the best stability running shoes ever made. Now on its 23rd edition, the latest Brooks Adrenaline features the most cushioned underfoot feel to date. This is because the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23 has been updated with DNA LOFT v2. GTS stands for Go-To-Support. The Adrenaline GTS are stability running shoes because they’re made with Brooks’ famous GuideRails technology. The midsole has raised side walls that act like bumpers for your feet. As the medial side wall is firmer, it helps reduce greater ranges of pronation. However, the unique quality of this holistic support system is that it only kicks in when you need it. To explain further, the extra support won’t inhibit you if you don’t need it. At the same time, if your feet start to roll in further, the support guides your ankles and knees through a better path. In fact, Brooks’ research showed them that this style of support is the best way to reduce knee problems during running. As the support helps you when required, it works well for runners whose left and right legs move in distinct ways from one another. For example, you may only get one sore knee during a run. We position the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23 in our Float Experience category because the cushioning feels soft, plush and forgiving underfoot. This means they’re most suited to slower to steady paced runs and are an excellent choice for long distance runs. It’s for these reasons that the Adrenaline GTS are very popular marathon running shoes. If you’re looking for maximum cushioning, you may want to consider the Brooks Glycerin franchise. While a lot of runners find the fit of the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23 accommodating in the toe box, it is available in a wide-fit in both men’s (2E version) and women’s (1D version). We also stock standard width fitting Adrenaline GTS in an all black colourway, or triple black as some call it.
