Inverness Half Marathon & 5k

Taking place in March, the Inverness Half Marathon is a great event to keep you motivated through the winter months and a perfect sharpener for anyone planning a Spring marathon. This popular race follows a scenic route with great PB potential through the Highland capital of Inverness.

For anyone after a shorter distance, there is also the Inverness 5K.

Kilomathon

Take in Edinburgh's famous landmarks while pushing your limits with a 6K or 13K race in April. Runners pass the historic Royal Yacht Britannia, picturesque Victoria Park and enjoy tranquil cycle paths before a fantastic finish in front of the West Stand at Murrayfield Stadium.

The Mini Kilomathon 2.62K is a fantastic race for kids aged 6-14 years, with a grandstand finish at BT Murrayfield Stadium.

Run Balmoral

Taking place in late April, Run Balmoral promises to be an epic weekend and festival of running, offering Junior races (1.5K & 2.5K) and the ever popular 5K & 10K on the Saturday, followed by the Duathlon and Trail Races (3 Miles or 15 Miles) on the Sunday. Not to mention the notorious Devil O Deeside (see website for details)!

LochNess360ﹾ Challenge

Test your stamina and strength in the beautiful, rugged and wild surrounds of iconic Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands, with the LochNess360ﹾ Challenge, a three day running and cycling event in Scotland staged in May.

There are 3 challenges for participants to choose from:

The 3 Marathons, 3 Days Challenge: Run one, two or all three marathons over the weekend.

The Ultra Marathon Challenge: Take on 129km and over 3000m of ascent within a time limit of 24 hours. If you plan on undertaking the entire route of the LochNess360ﹾ Trail, then you must be very experienced in off-road trail running and have experience of completing long ultra marathons (88km plus). This is not a challenge for beginners!

The Mountain Bike Challenge: Cover 80 miles in just 14 hours.
