The name NNormal is derived from the product development process: designed in Mallorca and tested in Norway (Nor-way + Mal-lorca). If you’re wondering why the double N, this hints to ‘No-Normal’. Well Kilian Jornet ran 1,300 km and 70,000 elevation metres in his Kjerag trail running shoes, and they still looked good. While both the Kjerag and Tomir trail running shoes feature incredibly durable materials and design techniques to make them last longer, they both perform over an array of surfaces and distances. This further adds to the sustainability message, as it means you shouldn’t need to have different pairs of shoes for various runs. Kilian Jornet proved this when he won Zegama, Hardrock 100 and UTMB, all in the same pair of Kjerag trail running shoes. If you’re looking for NNormal trail running shoes for everyday use, we recommend opting for the Tomir. With Vibram Megagrip with Traction Lug, 5mm lugs, a thick EVA midsole, and an accommodating upper, these should feel great for daily use. However, if you have ambitions of running faster on trails, our suggestion is the Kjerag trail running shoes. That’s because they feel incredibly light and propulsive on your feet. We can’t guarantee you’ll run as fast as Kilian, but very few can.
