Advice for Road Runners: The Salomon Men's Ultra Glide 2 Trail Running Shoes in the Atlantic Deep/Blue Radiance/Fiery Red colourway are built for long distance trail runs.
Long distance trail runs on mixed terrain are best tackled in as much comfort as possible. The Ultra Glide 2 features Salomon's energyFOAM for long lasting, plush cushioning.
The rocker geometry - Salomon's signature Reverse Camber technology - helps with building and maintaining forward momentum.
Finally, Profeel film acts as a barrier between your feet and the terrain - such as rocks and stones.
The upper of the Ultra Glide 2 features a couple of significant technologies. EndoFit™ is an internal sleeve, and SensitFit™ cradles your feet from the midsole to the lacing system. Both technologies are used to ensure a secure and supportive fit where it is most needed for your trail runs.
The Salomon Men's Ultra Glide 2 Trail Running Shoes are well placed to cope with the demands of long distance runs on varied terrain. 3.5 mm lugs offer a great balance between grip and durability.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
